First LI Wine and Food Festival planned

GREENPORT, LONG ISLAND, NY — It seems odd there hasn’t been one of these before, but the first Long Island Wine & Food Festival finally will happen.

The location is a series of venues on the East End of Long Island which will rely on the area’s well-known wineries, breweries, restaurants and lodgings.

The three-day festival, set for July 25-27, will begin with a cocktail reception on Friday, followed by wine samplings and food tastings at participating wineries on Saturday, and a Sunday Grand Tasting at Mitchell Park in this historic seaport village. Ticket prices vary. They are available for purchase online.
