‘Strawberry Fields’ on Hudson-Berkshires Beverage Trail

09 Jun

Spring and strawberries go together as well as berries and wine, so the Hudson-Berkshires Beverage Trail’s “Strawberry Fields Sip & Savor” this coming weekend is perfectly timed.

On Saturday and Sunday (June 12-13), the Trail’s second group event of the season will feature a strawberry delicacy at each of the participating venues. These will include:

• Strawberry sangria: Hudson-Chatham Winery
• Chocolate-covered strawberries: Furnace Brook Winery
• Applejack-soaked strawberries, whipped cream: Harvest Spirits
• Strawberries in phyllo: Brookview Station Winery

The Hudson Berkshire Beverage Trail is a recently-formed coalition of beverage makers and food producers in New York and nearby Massachusetts. Go here for my earlier posting on the organization.

Guests may visit any Trail member and pay the normal tasting fees, or buy a Trail Passport for $15 per person ($5 for designated drivers), which will entitle them to a discount on beverage samplings and strawberry creations at all participating locations. Passports will be on sale on the days of the event at all of the venues. Participating facilities will be open from noon to 5 p.m. each day.
