HYDE PARK, NY — If you’ve enjoyed a cocktail and lunch at the Escoffier Restaurant at the Culinary Institute of America, put it in your memory book.
The French-style lunch service has been discontinued after a run of 30 years, primarily due to the economy. It will be a dinner-only operation run by students and instructors for the foreseeable future.
Escoffier is presently closed for summer break and a periodic refurbishing.
The Escoffier Restaurant was inducted into the Nation’s Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame in 2000.
