223 West Water Street between North Main and College Avenue
“The Finger Lakes by the glass, The World by the plate.” Catchy slogan, and certainly something different for this Southern Tier city. Owner Masroor Ahmad (left) designed the Chemung River-side restaurant and the menu, with a special eye on creating the riverview atmosphere. The kitchen offers “casual dining with world flavors” — soups, paninis, stews and salads. The wine list features Finger Lakes wines and the beer list emphasizes regional brewers. Wineries represented are: Bully Hill, Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Heron Hill, Hosmer Winery, Lamoreaux Landing, Lucas Vineyard, Pleasant Valley, Standing Stone, Salmon Run, Wagner Vineyards. Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday-Saturday, closed Sunday.
