Ale and hearty in Rochester area

24 Aug

HONEOYE FALLS, NY — Ale fanciers are expected to gather in this Rochester-area community for the Autumn Festival of Ales., which its organizers are trumpeting as “THE Western New York brewfest.”

The event, scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 2, at the Honeoye Falls Firemen’s Field, is expected to offer a lineup of new beers from such craft breweries as Custom BrewCraft Brewers — the sponsoring company, as well as Pier 45, Miles Wine Cellars, Keuka Brewing Company, Grieve’s Brewery and others from the region.

Custom BrewCrafters was founded in 1997 by Mike and Luanne Alcorn. A consistent pattern of growth led to an expansion of the company and its current building, occupied in 2008.
