Foliage, food and fab wines on the trail

PENN YAN, NY — Early autumn is a beautiful time Upstate, when the first fall foliage begins transforming the landscape. The Keuka Wine Trail members are hoping to take advantage of that with their Harvest Tour of Food & Wine, scheduled for the weekend of September 18-19.

Visitors will be able to sample 32 different wines and try more than a dozen foods by visiting various wineries around the lake during the event, as well as picking up a signa
ture Trail wine glass.

Among the foodstuffs that will be available are harvest pizza, pumpkin soup, grape cobbler, local gorgonzola cheese on crostini, roasted corn chowder, maple pumpkin cheesecake and baked Jona Gold apples. The variety of Finger Lakes wines will range from dry varietals to dessert wines.

Stever Hill Vineyards
Hunt Country Vineyards
Keuka Spring Vineyards
Barrington Cellars/Buzzard Crest Vineyards
McGregor Vineyard Winery
Ravines Wine Cellars

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $25 plus tax for the weekend, or $19 plus tax for Sunday only. A limited number of weekend tickets may be available at the wineries on the day of the event for $30 plus tax. Tickets are available online, by calling (800) 440-4898, or by visiting member wineries or Wegmans Food Markets.
