The Harvest Auction & Celebration of Long Island’s East End is set for Friday and Saturday, September 24-25. It is a benefit for both the East End Hospice and the Peconic Land Trust.
The event schedule:
Friday, September 24
• 10-Mile Dinners, 7 to 11 p.m., 10-person vintner dinners in various East End locations — private homes, yachts,, gardens, etc.. Tickets are $350 per person. Each will be hosted by a local winemaker and chef.
Saturday, September 25:
• Festival tasting of Long Island’s bounty, 4 to 7:30 p.m. on the polo grounds at Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack. Includes a grand tasting of Long Island wines, including wines to be offered at auction; local, seasonal dishes made by East End chefs partnered with farmers and food artisans; 100+ silent auction items.
• Gala dinner and live auction of Long Island wines, 7 to 11 p.m., also on the polo grounds, with live music and dancing. Tickets includes entry to the festival tasting. The event is being organized by the Long Island Merlot Alliance and Long Island Wine Council, with support from the New York Wine & Grape Foundation.
