Another tiki spot opens in NYC

22 Sep

NEW YORK — I reported earlier on the emerging craze for tiki clubs in the city. Here’s the latest entry.

The Hurricane Club, a 13,000-square-foot, 250-seat shrine to South Seas-inspired eating and drinking, has scheduled its official opening for next Monday, September 27, although it already is in soft opening mode.

The new spot promises a list of 150 rums along with lots of kitsch and goodies. It is located at park Avenue and 126th Street in Manhattan. Phone: (212) 951-7111.
