NEW YORK — Fans of beer pong are taking their soggy competition to the next level. Introducing, the New York Professionals Beer Pong League.

The group claims to be the city’s first organized pong league. It consists of 60 co-ed teams of two to five players each. They’ll meet each Tuesday to determine “who’s got the best hand-eye coordination, accuracy, balance, teamwork … and strategy.” (Not familiar with the sport? Go here to be educated.)

Games will begin at Wicked Willy’s, 149 Bleecker Street (between LaGuardia and Thompson) in Greenwich Village. Half-priced drinks for players and fans will be available. Details on signing up, the rules and other stuff are available online.

Can a Fantasy Beer Pong League be far behind?
