• ‘Blackout in a can’ loses fizz

New York’s largest beer distributors agreed late Saturday to stop selling Four Loko, a caffeinated alcoholic drink that come in tall, colorful cans, and to purge their inventory of the products, the New York State Liquor Authority said in a statement obtained in advance ahead of an expected announcement.

The controversial drink, laced with alcohol and caffeine, has been referred to as “blackout in a can.”
