18 Mar

Diet Coke surpassed Pepsi as the second most popular carbonated soft drink in 2010, according to data just released by Beverage Digest. Coke remains on top, with 17% market share from sales of 1.6 billion cases of soda.

Diet Coke had a 9.9% market share and Pepsi dropped 4.8% from the prior year to a 9.5% share.

Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper and Sprite rounded out the top six individual brands.
