• Cask Beer Festival set for Brooklyn

31 Mar

BROOKLYN, NY — Organizers of the 5th annual Williamsburg Cask Beer Festival are promising at least 18 casks to be tapped at the event.

It is set to run over the April 22-24 weekend at dba Brooklyn, 113 North 7th Street at Berry, Brooklyn. It’s a pay-as-you-go event, with no entrance fee.

Cask-conditioned beer is defined as unfiltered, unpasteurized beer brewed from only traditional ingredients, matured and naturally carbonated by a secondary fermentation in the container from which it is manually dispensed without the use of nitrogen or extraneous carbon dioxide. It is ideally served at cellar temperature, which is about 54℉, cool but not chilled.
