TAP New York is believed to be the state’s longest running craft beer and food event. This year’s food theme is “Comfort Food,” which is good because admission includes unlimited food sampling. Live entertainment, beer-friendly food, chef demonstrations, a variety of craft and art vendors, and more than 100 microbrews also are included.
The festival began in 1997 as the Hudson Valley Beer & Food Festival, hosted by the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. However, it quickly outgrew that venue and now is held at the Hunter Mountain ski in this Greene County community.
TAP New York also will select recipients for two awards — Best Craft Beer Brewery in the Hudson Valley, and Best Craft Beer Brewery in New York State, as well as medals to the best individual beers.
Tickets now are on sale: $60 in advance for Saturday and $49 for Sunday. Designated driver tickets are available for $20 per person and include food sampling and soda/water. Discounted rates are available for two-day attendance and for groups and tour operators. Full details are available online.
