• ‘Brooklyn Uncorked’ goes off on Tuesday

07 May

BROOKLYN — A reminder for fans of beers, beers and more beers. The 5th annual “Brooklyn Uncorked” event, with a boost from the Long Island Wine Council, will be presented from 6 to 9 p.m. next Tuesday (May 10).

The venue is the Brooklyn Academy of Music at 30 Lafayette Avenue. The event always features New York State wines — mostly from Long Island — plus pairings from some of the city’s well-regarded chefs and food makers.

Among the wineries that will be pouring:

Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard
Bedell Cellars
Bouke Wines
Brooklyn Oenology
Brooklyn Wine Co.
Channing Daughters
Croteaux Vineyards
Gramercy Vineyards
Grapes of Roth
Jamesport Vineyards
Long Island Merlot Alliance
Macari Vineyards and Winery
Martha Clara Vineyards
Mattebella Vineyards
Old Field
Osprey’s Dominion
Palmer Vineyards
Raphael
Roanoke Vineyards
Scarola Vineyards
Sherwood House
Shinn Estate
Sparkling Pointe
Suhru Wines
Waters Crest
Wölffer Estate

“Brooklyn Uncorked” was conceived as a way to bring Long Island wine country to the city. And it worked in collaboration with the Edible East End, Edible Brooklyn and Edible Manhattan groups with their emphasis on food and wine.

Tickets are $40 per person. Check availability online.
