• Coyote Moon earns right to howl

07 May

CLAYTON, NY — Coyote Moon Vineyards is not among the most recognized wine labels in New York, but it is making a name for itself on the West Coast.

Winemaker/co-owner Phil Randazzo (near right) had entries took a trio of gold medals in the recent “Consumer Wine Awards” competition held in Lodi, CA, with his LaCrescent, River Run Rose and unoaked Naked Chardonnay doing the trick.

And, proving you have to catch the consumer’s eye before you capture their palate, house artist/co-owner Mary Randazzo (right) spearheaded the Thousand Islands company’s entry that won “Best Label Series” in the recent Pacific Rim Competition in which its wines also took 10 medals. Rich Clarke of Clarke Graphics and Tim Tice of Label World also worked on the project for the Rochester area entry.
