The event is scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, August 27, at Brooklyn Oenology‘s tasting room. The winery is working with Scott Bridi of Brooklyn Cured, whose food items now are being carried in the tasting room.
Sandwiches will be made to order, each featuring at least one ingredient now permanently available at the tasting room. Sandwiches will include such creations as the “Bomb Mi” made with Brooklyn Cured Country paté, Brooklyn Cured smoked pork rillette, seasonal pickles, cilantro and sriracha, and a specialty BLT with an array of colorful heirloom tomatoes, Brooklyn Cured bacon, and shisho aioli. Vegetarian options also will be available.
Glasses of BOE wine will be 10% off the normal price with purchase of a sandwich, as well as 5% off two or three bottles and 10% off four or more bottles of BOE wine.
“We are excited to begin a new, and hopefully long, relationship with Scott Bridi and his amazing, Brooklyn-made products. His philosophies on eating, buying, and producing local fit perfectly with BOE’s attitude towards winemaking,” says Alie Shaper, winemaker and owner of Brooklyn Oenology Winery.
